Q. <<The protein bars - when should one take these ? Obviously if I have
not had a shake after a work out - but when else?

A. See if you can find any large gaps in your day when you haven't got the
opportunity to eat a meal and have a bar in the middle of that. Try not
to have more than one each day in addition to your shake as even
through they are a very good protein source, they still contain
calories.

Q. <<As regards drinking a shake at night. I was advised that taking one
before one goes to bed assists with muscle repair etc.. Thoughts please....

A. It's more important to have a shake after your workout. Having one last
thing at night is another good time to have one if you haven't eaten
anything in the later part of the evening, but late at night is not a
'special' time for muscle growth.

Q <<If I am trying to reduce fat levels - what else could I look at ?

A. Just make sure that you are not exceeding your calorie burnt each day
with your calorie input. If you are you will put on fat. If you find a
little fat is goin on do not panic, just slightly reduce your input (by
the least valuable foods first) or increase your cadio a little bit.
Just a couple of hundred calories a day to tip the balance. Never do
anything drastic with your diet, just a little change at a time.
